Sara April Joins Dirks, Van Essen & MurrayBack to News

SANTA FE, NM, November 30, 2006 – Sara April, a journalist and magazine manager, has joined Dirks, Van Essen & Murray as an analyst.

April will be responsible for analyzing markets and publishing operations, as well as assisting in the preparation of information used in the sale of publishing companies.

Dirks, Van Essen & Murray, based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is the nation’s leading newspaper merger-and-acquisition firm.

April is a cum laude graduate of George Washington University with a BA in journalism. From 2002 to 2006, she was director of operations for HomeWorks Media Group in Boston, which published specialty magazines and operated two websites.

April also worked as assistant manager of the New Republic magazine, and has written for and edited other publications.
