Charleston Newspapers Refinances DebtBack to News


CHARLESTON, WV, May 23, 2011 – Charleston Newspapers, publisher of the Charleston (WV) Gazette and the Charleston (WV) Daily Mail, has refinanced its existing debt with a new credit facility.

DV&M Consulting, a unit of Dirks, Van Essen & Murray, advised the Charleston Newspapers in the refinancing.

The two Charleston newspapers are published under a Joint Operating Agreement with combined business operations. The Charleston Gazette and Daily Mail have combined weekday circulation of approximately 58,000. The combined Sunday circulation is approximately 67,000.
