SANTA FE, NM, April 15, 2005 – Dirks, Van Essen & Murray has formed a new California corporation that has been licensed by the state’s Department of Real Estate to handle the sale of newspaper properties.

CAL DVM Inc., a subsidiary of Dirks, Van Essen & Murray, has been issued license number #01478788 by the Department of Real Estate.

L. James Grattan, a licensed real estate broker in California, is secretary of the new corporation. Grattan is a 1966 graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles. He has been a licensed real estate broker in California since 1995.

Prior to entering the real estate profession in 1990, he was a senior partner in a telecommunications firm located in San Diego County. Grattan has developed a real estate specialization in investment land, with emphasis on commercial and tax-deferred 1031 exchanges.
