Emmerich Newspapers acquires Kosciusko (MS) Star-HeraldBack to News


KOSCIUSKO, MS – May 31, 2013 – Emmerich Newspapers has acquired the The Star-Herald in Kosciusko, Mississippi from Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc.

Dirks, Van Essen & Murray, a newspaper merger and acquisition firm in Santa Fe, New Mexico, represented CNHI in the transaction.  Terms were not disclosed.

Published since 1866, The Star-Herald serves readers in Kosciusko and Attala County in central Mississippi.  The Star-Herald publishes once a week and also produces a local news website, www.starherald.net.

Kosciusko is the birthplace of Oprah Winfrey.
