MEXIA, TX, September 2, 2008 – A company formed by Moser Community Media of Edna, Texas has acquired the Mexia (TX) Daily News and a companion weekly newspaper from a subsidiary of Community Newspaper Holdings Inc. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Dirks, Van Essen & Murray, a newspaper merger-and-acquisition firm in Santa Fe, New Mexico, represented CNHI in the transaction.
