Vista California News Media, Inc. buys Marysville (CA) Appeal-DemocratBack to News

MARYSVILLE, CA – May 31, 2013 – Roland McBride, Executive Vice President of Vista California News Media, Inc. announced today the purchase of the 16,000-circulation Marysville (CA) Appeal-Democrat from Freedom Communications Inc.

Dirks, Van Essen & Murray, a newspaper merger and acquisition firm in Santa Fe, New Mexico, represented Freedom Communications in the transaction.  Terms were not disclosed.

McBride said, “The Appeal-Democrat is a newspaper with a longstanding reputation for quality service to its community.  We are very pleased to have the opportunity to continue that service, and look forward to participating in their continued success in the dynamic news gathering and dissemination industry.”
